Lee, Henry
(29 ene. 1756, cond. Prince William, Va., EE.UU.–25 mar. 1818, Cumberland Island, Ga.).

Oficial de ejército y político estadounidense. Durante la guerra de la independencia de los Estados Unidos de América ascendió a comandante de caballería y logró victorias en Paulus Hook, N.J. y en el Sur. Como gobernador de Virginia (1791–94), estuvo al mando del ejército que sofocó la rebelión del whisky (1794). En la Cámara de Representantes (1799–1801), redactó la resolución en que elogió a George Washington como "primero en la guerra, primero en la paz y primero en el corazón de sus compatriotas. Después de 1800, fracasó en diversas especulaciones financieras y de tierras, y estuvo dos veces encarcelado por deudas. Fue el padre de Robert E. Lee.
